| Fredrick Remington (1861-1909) was born in a small town in northern New York. He was an illustrator, sculptor, and a painter. Remington is best known for his realistic and vivid depictions of the American Western frontier. Many of his dramatic scenes were of cowboys, cavalrymen, and Indians. His art depicted the excitement, danger, and dramatic confrontations of the Western Movement. Because of his awesome works of art, he is a great artist to incorporate with Social Studies and History lessons. See the links below for more information concerning this magnificent artist. | |

Remington's night paintings have fso much color in them. I want to know how that hunter is going to get that moose into his canoe (Coming to the Call). Good web sites and ready reference.
